Propolis & Vanilla Ticture is made by Meralda Warren here on Pitcairn Island.

Propolis scraped and collected from my beehives. The propolis is put in a good size jar, it is then covered with dark rum and left to dissolve. shaken every day for a good month or two to liquify. Vanilla that I grow in my front garden. When they bloom, I am able to pollunate the flowers using a Niau (Rib of coconut leaf). flipping the flap of the inner flower so as pollun can touch the lips of the flower. Taught to me by my Tahitian friend.

Once the vanilla bean is ripe and mature, I collect them just before they fall off. Spread out to dry on a rack inside the house. after they turn black and dried, I store them in a sealed jar. To make the vanilla extract, I add rum to this as well. My recipe for this mix is 2/3 Propolis Tincture and 1/3 Vanilla Tincture. This Tincture is good for your throat and helps with body aches.

Squirt one blast in your mouth and swallow.
